The part geometry is transferred to the MIM tool design. A production-ready tool structure is created by taking into account the parting line, runner system, gate location, cores and sintering-induced shrinkage. Mold filling analysis and shrinkage compensation are used to ensure that the final dimensions of the part are met.
The mixture of metal powder and binder is shaped by injection in high-precision MIM tools. Tool design, injection parameters and process conditions are optimized considering the part geometry and final dimensions. The goal at this stage is to obtain a high-quality green part that will ensure minimum deformation and high dimensional stability in subsequent processes.
After injection, flash is removed from the green part and the parts are prepared for the debinding process. This stage is critical for the homogeneous progression of the debinding process and for preserving the geometric integrity of the parts.
After injection, the binder system present in the part structure is removed through a controlled catalytic debinding process. This stage is critical for preserving the geometric integrity of the part and for creating a suitable pore structure before sintering.
Parts that have completed debinding are processed in high-temperature sintering furnaces with a controlled atmosphere and temperature profile. Sintering creates diffusion and bonding between the metal particles, giving the part its final mechanical properties and density. Temperature, atmosphere, time and cooling parameters are managed in a controlled manner according to product and material requirements.
Process and product inspections are carried out at every stage of production. Dimensional inspections, visual inspections, material and mechanical property verifications, and where necessary advanced analysis methods ensure that products meet the specified quality criteria.
Approved products are tracked within the traceability system together with production and quality records. With appropriate packaging and shipping conditions, we deliver reliable, standards-compliant products to our customers.
In MIM technology, a high-quality final product is achieved not only at the injection or sintering stage, but through the correct management of the entire process chain. As MIMCorex, we treat tool design, injection, deflashing, debinding, sintering and quality control processes as a whole, continuously improving our processes to achieve high-precision, repeatable production. From design to serial production, from tool design to the final product, we apply our engineering strength at every stage.
Not every part follows the same process route. Let's analyze your application and map out the most suitable production roadmap together.
